Web-based Client Area
We believe that having a simple yet effective methodology for implementing
changes on behalf of clients is the key factor in ensuring that
change is managed efficiently and satisfactorily.
To facilitate the process of change and development, we make a
'client area'
available on our website, accessed securely via a login and password.
Livewire Design's project management tool
is our key to ensure we get it right. This system enables the customer
to view the entire history of their relationship with Livewire Design
including all requested and completed changes, along with every
sketch, HTML, image and word document relevant to a customer relationship.The
customer can refer to this system at any time to see every item
of work completed, when, by whom and who approved it.
How does it work?
- Every change that the customer wishes to make is first logged
on the client-area as a new item. This can be done by the client
or by Livewire.
- This item is then automatically dated and given a unique reference
number and added to the list of items forming an effective 'to-do
list' for that project.
- The Livewire team is then automatically notified via email that
the customer has a change pending.
- The Livewire team completes the work, communicating directly
where necessary with the customer.
- When finished, the Livewire design team posts details of the
work as a new item, next to the request.
- The customer then receives an email via the system to inform
him that the item is ready for sign-off (there could be several
people emailed).
- The customer logs on, checks and authorises the change.
The entries are not deleted but kept on the client area for reference
even after the project is implemented so that you can always see
what was requested, completed and when.
This method ensures that the confusion, which often accompanies
using email as the sole method of project communication, is avoided.
Many people can be involved in the project without the need for
hundreds of emails spread over different PCs.
